Role Summary A Dispatcher in the PreFlight Airport Parking market is responsible for the coordination of shuttle bus rotation to and from the airport terminal and off airport parking location.
This position reports to the Shift or General Manager of the off-airport parking operation.
Depending on location, the dispatcher may be required to perform cross-functional duties as a bus driver and/or customer service representative.
Essential
Responsibilities:
Maintains proper shuttle bus rotation through radio dispatch communication with drivers.
Keeps an accurate time log to monitor location/distance of buses and maintain consistent flow of buses based on schedules and breaks of drivers.
Responds to customer needs in a professional and courteous manner.
Ensures all paperwork is complete and equipment is operational.
Communicates effectively with employees and customers in person, via phone and over the two- way radio.
Operates and monitors facility security intercoms and surveillance monitors as applicable.
Remain vigilant for anything unusual or potentially threatening and inform management immediately.
Monitor work area and property for safety and security.
Reports any accidents, hazards or maintenance requirements, and the presence of any suspicious individuals or activities immediately to a manager.
Recognize potentially dangerous situations and respond in the safest and most effective manner.
Participate in all safety and security trainings within the market.
Maintains a clean work area at all times.
Required Qualifications:
HS Diploma or GED.
Depending on location and/or position, a dispatcher may need to possess math skills sufficient to calculate time and/or money for the purposes of cross-functioning in a cashiering and/or customer service capacity.

Must be willing to work at an off-airport parking facility in (ADD CITY, STATE).
Must be willing to work the following schedule:

May be required to work in a large booth and/or small office and be exposed to weather elements in assisting customers on a daily basis through the assistance window or in an outside, uncovered parking lot.
Must possess hearing and vision faculties sufficient to perform essential functions.
Depending on location, a dispatcher may be required to walk up and down steps/stairs to go to and from dispatch location.
If assisting as a shuttle bus driver, must be 21 years or older.
Must also be willing to take a physical as part of the selection process as required by state or airport regulations.
Must be able to grasp, scoop, push, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Depending on location and/or position, a dispatcher may need to have a valid driver's license for the purposes of cross-functioning in a driving capacity.
Some state and/or airport regulations require that a Driver have a valid Chauffer's license or a valid Driver's License from the state in which he or she works.

Ability to operate and communicate clearly and concisely through a two-way radio system and also in person and by phone to coworkers, superiors and customers.
