Summary:
CAPIC is looking for a Bilingual (Spanish)Recovery Coach to join the SUDS/Mobile Outreach Team.
The Recovery Coach will provide expertise and promote a culture in which recoverees' points of view and preferences are recognized, understood, respected and integrated into support, treatment, rehabilitation, and community-based recover-oriented systems of care.
The Recovery coach will work with clients after they leave rehab in order to reinforce and encourage a healthy lifestyle.
They will also work with the client's family; helping everyone cope with changes that accompany addiction.
This position requires a flexible work schedule to meet the needs of the population served.
Preferably, this is an individua who has lived experience with addiction and/or co-occurring mental health disorders and has been trained to help their peers with a similar experience to gain hope, explore recovery, and achieve life goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Conduct and maintain accurate client intakes and provide information and referrals for recovery resources in the community.
Conduct sober house visits (as needed) Engage with clients post detox and assist in the coordination of aftercare services with facilities (detox, holdings, TSS, CSS, hospitals, etc.
) Utilize the CSG Data Collection/Client Tracking System to document client progress and services.
Responsible to input and track client data, for preparation of quarterly reports Participate in Naloxone (Narcan) training as provided by CAPIC and administer in the event there is an overdose while with a client Coach recoverees, based on their needs, in recovery-oriented skills, activities of daily living, socialization, and community integration.
Implement, teach, assist and/or coach persons served with their individual action plan and assist in developing their own wellness plan; review their goals and objectives on a consistent basis.
Interface with all collateral contacts working with the persons served or recoverees coached.
Co-facilitate groups (in conjunction with other SUDS staff) to provide support for increased stability for clients through recovery and a better understanding of their symptoms of relapse.
Assist with emergency situations in order to facilitate recovery.
Provide on-going assessment, problem solving, side-by-side services, skills training, supervision (e.
g.
prompts, assignments, monitoring, encouragement), and environmental adaptations to assist persons served with activities of daily living (i.
e.
identifying and attending self-help meetings, support with sponsorship).
Attend Chelsea Downtown Task Force & Navigator meetings.
Conduct outreach work throughout the City of Chelsea.
Adhere to SUDS Program Safety Protocols.
Perform other duties as requested by the Executive Director.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalency Must have experience working with adults diagnosed with substance use and/or dependency.
Must have Certified Addictions Recovery Coach (CARC) Certification.
Must be fluent in Spanish with strong oral and written skills.
Must have a valid MA driver's license.
Knowledge and experience of the addiction treatment service system, recovery coaching, and other related human services.
Experience in working with Latino populations and the ability to relate to individuals of diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
Strong interpersonal skills.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
