Information Security Specialist
Information Security Analyst Direct Hire/Permanent Chelsea, MA Day to day responsibilities may include:
Implementation and adherence to the Information Security and monitoring procedures.
Proactively identify information security deficiencies or opportunities for improvement.
Proactively research and stay up to date with the latest security issues.
Responsible for the daily management, review, and configuration including preparing weekly reports from various security auditing and monitoring solutions used in the enterprise to the Enterprise Wide Oversight Committee.
Monitors and audits security systems, review logs, password usage and reviews and investigates employee violations, and follow-ups through appropriate channels.
Handle low to complex resolution of security related Service Desk tickets.
Assist in the development of security architecture and security policies, principles and standards.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance or information technology and 4 to 6 years of experience in information security and/or regulatory compliance within the financial industry and/or combination of education and experience required.
SSCP Highly preferred CISA, CISM, CISSP, or GIAC are preferred Understanding of regulations pertinent to the financial industry, such but not limited to Gramm-Leach-Bliley, FACTA, and the USA PATRIOT Act Basic problem solving and strong analytical skills.
Process driven and eye for detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills, self-motivated, willingness to take on challenges and adaptability to change.
Good understanding of application security.
Good understanding of key network and technical security controls.
